Rolled back windows to an early date when the sound was working: failed. Ran DISM anyways because I'm reaching at this point: Failed. Ran SFC thinking it may be corrupted windows files. Performed a clean boot, disabled all non windows services and startup software : failed. Moved the SSD to another P320 with known working sound. Tried a bluetooth dongle with some headphones paired / then a logitech USB headest: failed - it will see the audio devices in settings and in device manager but still no output device found.Ĭheck for high and low driver filters: none for sound I checked the device manager and no red flags there, aside from that these are the steps that I tried to fix the issue:Ĭhecked bios to see if onboard audio was disabled: it's enabledĬhanged drivers to "high definition audio device" instead of Realtek: failed The volume icon on the tray shows a red x followed by speaker setup (UNKOWN) and under playback/recording tabs it will say do output / input device.
